This is one of the largest modern Collinsons at 54" high and he is probably from 1970 -80.
A lot of his paint and gesso is cracking and it is quite a
hard decision to know whether to preserve him exactly as he is or to do some restoration.
He is a very solid horse and seen from the back he has a wide rump - almost as big as a
small pony. The stirrup irons must have been replaced at some time as they are tiny.
