When on his stand he is 47" high. He was made about 1890. He can now talk again as his mouth has been fixed.
This horse is in a rather sorry state, he had been covered with white gloss paint
but this has mostly been removed.
Also the lower part of his head is missing. The picture does show the original paint pattern of an old,
extra carved
Lines horse. Of note are the exaggerated points to the fetlocks, the inverted V shaped
groove over the front leg, the neck grooves and the carving detail of the hock and
knee which are features of this model of horse.
